saturday was daddy's birthday, which gave us a nice occasion to stuff our faces at the rose veranda. loved the setting, desserts and tea but the spread of food was quite small :( but most importantly, i think dad enjoyed his day with the family.

sch's starting in approx 44 hours :( hello, year 3.

i'm back frm korea and it was more of a revisit to the place from 7yrs ago. but i did manage to catch the cherry blossoms and eat my fill of kimchi ha!!

tour grp was big - 40 including tour guide. gee. i dun like big grps.

but nonetheless it was fun, it's always fun to take off with my folks and take in some cool air unlike the convection-oven-like kinda air in sg now. speaking of weather, there was this grp of pple who wore winter coats and GLOVES during the trip. oh cmon....LOL. what a sight. it's spring alr...were they hibernating n woke up forgetting to update their wardrobe? qt paiseh la.

this was on the plane - how come a short flight feels so torturous to me now? could hardly stand the 6hr flight. lol. old alr ah?

instructions for preparing ur bibimbap. lol. so cute. it was surprisingly good for a flight meal.

so first stop on arrival was nami island. flight to cheju was full so we waited for an evening flight. the place is brimming with tourists la. singaporeans in particular....

nami island was where parts of winter sonata was filmed...the pine trees....the snowmen...

found this v sweet. 2 sisters having so much fun on a little pedal car :)

dun play play. still got replica snowmen on the bench after so many years ha ha...

we went to the teddy bear museum which was quite cute! creative and quite entertaining. maybe it's just me la huh. i have a soft spot for teddies. try n see who these bears are!

i love the one on the right the best. oh einstein!! so cute!!

hello teddy! he's as tall as i am (NOT taller hor...he's standing on a small platform). there was a bigger bear outdoors, abt 2m or slightly more? too bad e pic was taken by the tour photog and is in hard copy so i cant put it here. lazy to scan!

ok these 2 are unrelated, but left one is the jajangmian that they eat - i always imagined tt it'd taste much nicer than what i had. oh well. right one is the wriggling octopus tentacle that the shopowner cut for me. i ate it! after it drowned itself in the soya n wasabi. lol. looks damn gross la. it wriggled out of the saucer oh man. but tastes ok leh! maybe too much soya sauce on it alr :p

spread of sashimi, korean style. this is only 2/3 of wad there was, here was a sashimi boat too. i very much prefer the jap style sashimi!! can u believe we actually spat out all the abalone sashimi cos it was so unpalatable? geez. and the sea urchin? ewww.

i love the feeling of clearing out, cleaning and arranging the things in my room. lol. i spent 6 hours cleaning out my cabinet, accumulated a bag of things to give to the salvation army and felt immensely satisfied at the sight of the much neater cupboard. lol. it must be in the genes - my mum is a cleaning fiend.

ok this is a little late again but HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINUS :) 21 is the time when aging begins... ha ha...

so anyway we had an unpleasant experience at ps cafe and let's just say we won't be likely to return there anytime in the near future. maybe we just weren't angmoh or ABC looking, that's why. however good the food is, if the service isn't good then i don't think it'll be an enjoyable dining experience.

school's out! (and holidays are in.. hehe) so much that's done, so much to do...

1. most of the guys have ord-ed by now. magic number feb 12th for you :)

2. clinicals are over!! inpatients are more fun than outpatients at the moment... it's darn busy though, so much that there's no time to sit to rest except during lunch. how come i never lose weight despite running about all day?? enjoyed my time at SLH and NUH though :) the shui jiao at nuh canteen is damn good btw. like DARN GOOD.

3. surprise dinner organised by linus-bernie/jea/yl :) i read the long list of email correspondence on fb! pretty funny to read cos yours truly was like so unsuspecting for once. haha. can't be helped since it was a pretty hectic week at slh.

4. monopoly date with jea/co/gen/jo too bad i had to leave so soon :( would have stayed on to camwhore. if not for the fact that i had to go back to the hosp cos of my scatterbrain.

5. corinne's birthday! happy happy birthday corinne!! (i noe it's late here. but eh i went to her party ok. and wished her in person. haha) it was a cosy party at fairmont with her good friends. the desserts were like so pretty la! :) eh i dun want to copy/paste photos from fb leh. tsk.

6. gma's birthday! dinner with the family (but missing my bro). he'll just have to make do with skype. haha.

7. met char to catch he's just not that into you and also super super super filling lunch at sketches. zomg. fatfat!! always fun with you gal!! looking forward to june/july :) we need that picnic!! :D

i'm so going to enjoy my holiday to the fullest. and to make it as productive as possible :) so far for the past 3 days it's been working :)
